Duties and responsibilities of the Grand Marshal, Colleen, and St. Patrick include, but are not limited to, publicly representing Hibernia at social events, media appearances, charitable presentations, and other community engagements; serving as hosts at Hibernia events; leading the St. Patrick’s Day Parade; and promoting Irish culture and Hibernia within the broader community.
Nominees are expected to be willing and able to attend the majority, if not all, Hibernia events, including monthly socials. Nominees are expected to attend majority, if not all, Hibernia events of the following year.
Nominees of Grand Marshal, Colleen, and St. Patrick are encouraged to but not required to be members of Hibernia for a minimum of 2 years. All nominees must be in good standing (dues paid up) with Hibernia
Candidates for Grand Marshal and Colleen should anticipate annual expenses ranging from approximately $3,000 to $5,000. Candidates for St. Patrick should anticipate annual expenses ranging from approximately $500 to $1,000.
